​Whether you're just beginning your family history journey or looking for a fresh perspective, Find Your People. Tell Your Story. introduces the mindset and methods genealogists use to uncover the lives behind a family tree.

Rather than focusing on memorizing records or building the biggest family tree possible, participants learn how to think like genealogists, ask meaningful questions, evaluate evidence, and discover the stories waiting to be found.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Start (or continue) family history research with confidence.

  • Think like a genealogist by asking better questions.

  • Evaluate historical records and other sources more effectively.

  • Search using names, dates, places, and relationships.

  • Look beyond names and dates to better understand an ancestor's life.
